My name is Sheikh Hassaan Bin Nadeem and I'm completing my diploma in electrical technology. I also wanna be a part of this engineering university because of some facts about this University.

Following are the features of admission policy:
Academic year at NUST starts in Fall every year
Merit criteria is strickly followed for Admission.
Admission can be sought either on the basis of NUST Entry TEST (NET) or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) for which limited seats are available.
While Pakistani nationals (including dual nationality holders) can opt for both NET and SAT, foreign nationals can only APPLY on the basis of SAT (International).
NET is conducted at three locations, that is Islamabad (NUST Campus), Karachi and Quetta.
At Islamabad the Test is conducted in computer-based format. In Karachi and Quetta it is in paper-based format.
Computer-based test is designed in accordance with the internationally practiced system of on-line examinations. It is easy to attempt with minimal practice.
Textbooks are consulted while developing the QUESTION bank. Grasping the concepts available in different textbooks will be beneficial.
Instructions to attempt computer-based entry test along with sample test is available on NUST website for guidance.
The pattern and the standard of question papers for both types of tests is the same.
The computer based test at Islamabad is conducted in three SERIES according to the following schedule:
First Series (NET-1) - 20 December 2014 onwards
SECOND Series (NET-2) - 27 March 2015 onwards
Third Series (NET-3) - 22 June 2015 onwards
Candidates can appear in entry test more than once to improve their score with their best score considered for admission.
In Karachi and Quetta, paper based entry test is conducted once in June/July.
For computer-based NET, candidates can choose the date and session of test from the available schedule.
The result of NET remain valid for the current admission cycle culminating in Fall 2015.
Applying for Registration:-
FA / FSc stream candidates should have passed HSSC Part-I exam.
A LEVEL students should have obtained minimum 60% marks as per equivalence of O level certificate issued by IBCC.
For NUST Entry Test (per exam) - Rs. 3000/- or USD 35/-
For SAT Candidate
SAT National seat - Rs.3500/- or USD 40/-
SAT International seat - Rs.7000/- or USD 80/-
Processing fee for entry test and admission will be charged according to following structure:
For REGISTRATION, possession of Computerized NATIONAL Identity Card (CNIC), Form B or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is mandatory.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Eligibility:
All admissions are governed by open merit.
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and HSSC / equivalent exams is required.
O & A level and other non-FSc stream candidates need to obtain equivalence certificates from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Pakistan.
Engineering:
HSSC (Pre-engineering group) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary EDUCATION or an equivalent qualification like Overseas High School Certificate / British General Certificate of EDUCATION (Advanced Level) / International Baccalaureate / Advanced Placement with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Candidates with HSSC / equivalent qualification with the combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer STUDIES or COMPUTER SCIENCE can only apply for Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Telecommunication Engineering.
DAE:

For BBA, BS Economics, BS Mass COMMUNICATION and BS Public Administration, HSSC or an equivalent qualification, such as an Overseas High School Certificate / British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) / International Baccalaureate / Advance Placement.

Note:
Candidates of FA/ FSc stream can apply for the NUST Entry Test on the basis of HSSC Part-I but the confirmation of their admission is subject to provision of HSSC certificate or Detailed Marks Certificate (with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks) before the commencement of the relevant programme of study

Candidates of O/A Level stream can apply on the basis of O Level equivalence certificate from IBCC, but the confirmation of their admission is subject to provision of A Level equivalence certificate.
Candidates of MBBS / BDS / Biosciences programmes must enter their complete HSSC or equivalent exam marks in online APPLICATION form.
Selected candidates will be required to provide Medical Certificate issued by any government hospital or a registered medical practitioner at the time of joining a programme of study. Medical Certificate Form will be emailed / sent to the selected candidates along with the Provisional Selection Letter.
